European Parliament preparing own-initiative report on implementation of rule of law conditionality regime

Faced with a decline in the rule of law, the EU should make greater use of the principle of conditionality, said Thu Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Jacques Delors Centre, during an exchange on the lessons to be learned from the conditionality mechanism with MEPs from the Committee on Budgets, the Committee on Budgetary Control and the Committee on Civil Liberties, on Monday 7 April.
