10/07/24 (Agence Europe) – The EU Sustainable Aviation Fuels Clearing House (SAF Clearing House) is now operational, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced on Tuesday 9 July. Its mission is to eliminate as many obstacles as possible in order to support the European and international deployment of SAF, as well as the approval of new technologies (see EUROPE 13267/35). The clearing house acts as a one-stop shop for fuel producers, providing them with everything they need to effectively evaluate the ‘ASTM D4054’ standard. “Via the EU SAF Clearing House, EASA wants to ensure that the fuel industry gets the support needed to succeed in developing SAF for aviation, so that their innovation efforts are not in vain and more SAF is brought to the market”, emphasised Maria Rueda, EASA’s Director of Strategy and Safety Management.
