10/07/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 9 July, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) made available the video presentation of its call for proposals ‘Saving our Seas – Reducing the danger of munitions dumped in European seas’. Open until 21 November, the call aims to support a project that will develop the most environmentally-friendly technologies and methods for dealing with chemical and explosive munitions that are currently dumped in EU sea basins. Its budget is €5.59 million. The project should include testing new technologies and methods in the Baltic Sea, with financial support and the possibility of applying them subsequently in other EU sea basins. The purpose of the Info Day was to guide potential applicants through the application process. (FS)
