15/04/24 (Agence Europe) – While the first deadline for establishing a European Education Area (EEA) (see EUROPE 13186/1) has been set for 2025, on Friday 12 April the European Commission opened a public consultation that will run until 27 June to assess the progress made towards this objective. This invitation is open to EU and non-EU citizens, organisations and public entities who would like to share recommendations for improving cooperation between Member States in the field of education and training. The results of the consultation will be added to the evaluation evidence base. As a reminder, the EEA’s goals for 2025 and 2030 are to support student mobility, strengthen the quality and inclusiveness of European education systems and promote lifelong learning that’s accessible to all.
