19/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – Contrary to what we wrote in our article of 16 March, which detailed the agreement validated by the Member States on corporate due diligence (see EUROPE 13372/9), the thresholds for application of the directive have indeed been modified between the two compromises. The text endorsed by the Member States indicates that the thresholds for the companies concerned have been revised upwards: five years after the directive comes into force, companies with more than 1,000 employees and a turnover of €450 million will be affected, and not those with a turnover of €300 million, as we had written.
