ESMA consults on sustainability indicators and inside information disclosure under Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation

06/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 6 October, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published a second consultation on the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) (see EUROPE 13221/32). ESMA will collect the responses and comments received on several topics, such as sustainability indicators for distributed ledgers, disclosure of inside information, technical requirements for white papers, trade transparency measures and record-keeping and business continuity requirements for crypto-asset service providers. The consultation will close on 14 December. ESMA will then publish a final report containing the draft technical standards, which will be submitted to the European Commission. (TM)
