Start of European Parliament/EU Council negotiations on reform of EU F-gas rules

The interinstitutional negotiations (trilogue) on the European Commission’s proposal of 5 April 2022 (see EUROPE B12926A3) on fluorinated greenhouse gases were initiated on the evening of Tuesday 25 April by representatives of the European Parliament, the EU Council and the European Commission. 

At this first trilogue meeting, the various parties set out their positions on this proposal, which amends Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and repeals Regulation (EU) No 517/2014, and sets a downward...
