26/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission decided on Wednesday 26 April to appoint Roser Domenech Amado as the new ‘One Health’ Director in the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE). The effective date of her appointment will be determined at a later stage. Roser Domenech Amado, a Spanish national, has gained extensive knowledge of a wide range of EU policies at the Commission, from external relations and humanitarian aid to health and food safety. She is currently Acting Director for ‘One Health’ in DG SANTE. She leads and manages this new directorate which brings together and exploits synergies at the intersection of human health, animal health and the environment. (LC)
