26/04/23 (Agence Europe) – The Commission announced on Tuesday 25 April a new large-scale skills partnership for the space sector, dedicated to data, services and applications, says a statement. “It aims to equip workers with the skills needed to develop future innovations and to achieve the objectives of the EU Space Strategy for Security and Defence. The partnership will encourage collaboration between the space industry, training centres, universities and other partners, attract young professionals, develop new and existing regional initiatives and contribute to other training programmes, such as the Copernicus academies, Copernicus relays and other activities under the CASSINI initiative”. This new partnership complements the aerospace and defence skills partnership. (SP)
