23/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The Tent Partnership for Refugees (Tent), a global network of more than 300 companies committed to economically integrating refugees, called on European companies, on Thursday 23 February, to hire refugees, particularly Ukrainians. The network also announced a summit on 19 June in Paris that will bring together leading companies to accelerate the economic integration - employment and training - of Ukrainian and other refugees in Europe. “European governments have stepped up to welcome Ukrainian women fleeing the war, but businesses must now do their part to help them find jobs and provide for themselves”, Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Tent and CEO of Chobani, said in a statement, calling on business leaders to mobilise, reduce barriers and hire these refugees.
