23/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Thursday 23 February that 13 PhD students and 111 post-doctoral fellows from Ukraine have been selected to receive European support through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme. This support has been specifically arranged to support the Ukrainian research community, and is funded by Horizon Europe: MSCA4Ukraine (see EUROPE 13031/5). These scholarships will enable researchers to pursue their high-level research at academic and non-academic research host institutions in 21 EU countries and countries associated with Horizon Europe. The scholarships will be awarded for a period of eight months to two years. In response to a concern expressed by the Ukrainians to avoid a brain drain and to prepare for the reconstruction of Ukraine, support will be offered to these researchers to continue their research in Ukraine when circumstances permit.
