COP15, European Commission and EU Council assure concerned MEPs that they will fight for an ambitious global framework in Montreal

Ambitions for global biodiversity were still present, on Wednesday 23 November, during a debate in the European Parliament ahead of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15, Montreal 7-19 December), although the ‘failure’ or ‘disappointment’ of the COP27 on climate was often mentioned.
