07/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – German diplomat Michael Pulch announced on Friday 7 October that he would become the new senior coordinator of the EU’s maritime presence in the north-west Indian Ocean. “A challenging task” were the words he used to describe it on Twitter. The EU decided last February to launch the concept of a coordinated maritime presence in the north-west Indian Ocean (see EUROPE B12895A6). Mr Pulch is currently the EU Ambassador to Singapore. (CG)
