07/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization’s European Office (WHO Europe) have issued a joint surveillance bulletin on the monkeypox outbreak. As of 5 July, 5,266 cases of monkeypox have been reported in 28 states in the European region through the European Surveillance System TESSy. The largest proportion of cases is made up of people aged between 31 and 40 years (42%), particularly men (99.6%). In 96.1% of the cases, people had a rash. No deaths were reported.
