21/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – The Italian, Romanian, Slovakian and Belgian enforcement authorities cooperated in a simultaneous inspection with operational support from the European Labour Authority (ELA), the latter said in a statement on Thursday 16 December. This concerted action, which took place on 3 December, focused on transport companies with branches in the four Member States. The inspection looked at compliance with EU rules on posting, working conditions and employment, as well as health and safety. In 2022, the ELA will focus on the enforcement of the social aspects of EU legislation in the sector of international road transport, the Authority said. (PH)
