10/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament announced, on Tuesday 9 March, that there were no objections to extension of its three special committees established last summer. The special committees on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age (AIDA) and on Foreign Interference in all Democratic Processes in the EU (INGE), including disinformation, have been extended by six months and the special committee on Beating Cancer (BECA) has been extended by three months. The special committee on Beating Cancer is therefore scheduled to be dissolved on 23 December, the time at which this body is to adopt a common position on the cancer plan presented earlier this year by the European Commission (see EUROPE 12650/1).
