College appoints a new Director-General for DG DIGIT and a new Deputy Secretary-General

On Tuesday 9 March, the European Commission decided to appoint Mario Campolargo as Director-General of the Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) with immediate effect. Mr Campolargo, a Portuguese national, has been Deputy Director-General of DG DIGIT since 2016.

Elisabeth Werner has been appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the Commission. The effective date of this appointment will be determined at a later date. Ms Werner, an Austrian national, is currently Director of Land...
