24/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – Airlines for Europe (A4E), the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) signed a cooperation agreement with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on Thursday 23 July: they thus commit to promoting the health recommendations drawn up by the EASA and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (see EUROPE 12492/5) to industry, governments and the travellers. Applauding the fact that the guidelines are becoming “the standard for the European aviation industry”, EASA Executive Director Patrick Ky called on national authorities to ensure that the recommendations are implemented and to avoid “unilaterally introducing measures which create inconsistencies”. The EASA charter on the resumption of air operations (see EUROPE 12515/38) now has more than 60 signatories. (AC)
