Drone Alliance Europe welcomes adoption by Commission of regulations applicable to UAVs

29/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European UAV industry, represented by the Drone Alliance Europe (DAE), welcomes, in a press release dated Wednesday 29 May, the adoption by the European Commission of the implementing act of 24 May on the safety of UAV traffic (see EUROPE 12262/4) and the delegated act of 12 March establishing the technical standards with which UAVs must comply (see EUROPE 12212/40). "The formal adoption of the regulations allows for the implementation of strong safety requirements and establishes the foundations to enable the further development of the European drone services market", said Christoph Raab, the organisation's Executive Director. The DAE adds that it has actively contributed to the Commission's public consultations carried out prior to the adoption of these acts. (LT)
