Ministers called on 7 June to set first modalities of ‘migration’, ‘borders’ and ‘internal security’ funds

On Wednesday 29 May, the permanent representatives of the EU Member States agreed to submit the dossier on the new Asylum and Migration Fund to the Ministers of the Interior for approval on 7 June in Luxembourg. 

Ministers will be invited to accept a partial general approach, as the precise numbers for this Fund are not specified, as they are linked to the subsequent negotiation of the Heads of State or Government on the next multiannual financial framework. The Asylum and Migration Fund...
