€185 million to boost capacity of Transmed gas pipeline

Luxembourg, 03/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced on 30 November 2007 that it will be providing a loan of €185 million from the FEMIP fund (EuroMed Investment and Partnership Facility) to boost the capacity of the TRANSMED gas pipeline from Algeria to the EU via Tunisia. TRANSMED is managed by ENI though a local subsidiary, Transport-Tunisien Pipeline Company. The Italian conglomerate ENI submitted expansion plans to the EIB for the capacity building,...
