Parliament's committee on civil liberties wants to delay adoption of several key proposals

Brussels, 03/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - Speaking on behalf of the committee of civil liberties (LIBE) of the European Parliament, its president, the French member Jean-Marie Cavada (ALDE), tabled an oral question to the Council of the EU on 29 November, asking whether it would be prepared to delay the adoption of several important pieces of legislation, in order to allow the MEPs to use the co-decision mechanism provided under the new treaty, which is due to enter into force in January 2009....
