03/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - The EP human rights sub-committee presided by Hélène Flautre (France, Greens/EFA) is on a visit to Turkey from 3-5 December, in an effort to assess the human rights situation in the context of the EU accession process. The delegation consists of 5 MEPs and will go to Istanbul and Ankara to meet members of the government, opposition, the press and civil society. (H.B)
