Brussels, 12/11/2007 (EDD) - On Tuesday 13 November, the Political and Security Committee (COPS) will begin preparing for the Jumbo Council of Ministers on Monday and Tuesday of next week, which will bring together Foreign, Defence and Development Cooperation Ministers in a complex choreography of meetings in turn, separately or in twos. In addition to the conclusions on the ESDP, COPS will complete the analysis of security and development conclusions, a theme dear to the Portuguese presidency. Other draft conclusions focus on Mynamar/Burma, Iraq and the Balkans.
The ambassadors are also due to consider the planned CME 08 crisis management exercise and prepare the draft joint declaration ahead of the EU-ASEAN Summit in Singapore on 22 November. (O.J.)
