Mourad Medelci calls on EU to support Algeria's bid to join WTO - Algeria gives conditional backing to idea of a Mediteranean Union

Brussels, 12/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - Algerian foreign minister Mourad Medelci made a whistlestop tour of Brussels on Friday, where he met Benita Ferrero-Waldner, EU External Relations Commissioner, and Franco Frattini, EU Justice (and Immigration) Commissioner. The minister is cited by Algerian press agency APS as saying that the visit aimed to help iron out all the human and economic problems being met in implementing the EU-Algeria Association Agreement, which came into force two years...
