European Socialists and public service unions voice concerns at Commission's plans for SGI/SGEI

Brussels, 12/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Commission's adoption of a communication on services of general (economic) interest (SGI/SGEI), which is planned for Tuesday 20 November, at the same time as the revision of the European strategy for the single market (see EUROPE 9531), has already caused the Socialist Group of the European Parliament and the public service unions to put up barriers (see EUROPE 9535).
