ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

French operator TDF has bought MEDIA & BROADCAST of Germany for €850 million and thus becomes the European sector leader. MEDIA & BROADCAST, a subsidiary of DEUTSCHE TELEKOM, is the audio-visual broadcasting leader in Germany with a turnover of €526 million in 2006. It employs 1,200. The company designs and runs analogue and digital television and radio broadcast networks and offers satellite and multimedia services. TDF had a turnover of €945 million in 2006.
