Brussels, 12/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU-Algeria Association Council will hold its first meeting in Brussels on 16 May. The Association Agreement came into force in September 2005 but the first meeting was put off three times (December 2005, March 2006). In March, Algeria said the Austrian Presidency had decided on the agenda unilaterally and the EU representatives were not of sufficiently high rank.
