Brazilian President Luma says Vienna Summit is one of the last opportunities for Doha talks

Brussels, 12/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU/LAC Summit in Vienna is one of the last opportunities for giving decisive impetus to the currently deadlocked multilateral Doha trade talks, the Brazilian President, Luis Ignacio Lula da Silva, said in an opinion column of Le Figaro published Friday. “Only the courageous decisions by Heads of State and Government can ensure a positive outcome”, he said, adding that “stakes are exceedingly political”.
