OHIM drops fees to apply, register and renew Community trade marks

Brussels, 17/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided to reduce the taxes to be paid to the Office of Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) in exchange for protection under the Community trademark. On 1 November, the sum of the tax payable to apply a Community trademark will fall from 975 EUR to 900 EUR, that of the tax to register a Community mark from 1100 to 850 EUR and the tax to renew a registration from 2500 to 1500 EUR.
