Brussels, 19/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 13 September the European Commission adopted proposals on the new fishing agreement between the European Community and the Seychelles. The new protocol covers the period 18 January 2005- 17 January 2011 and was initialled by the two parties on 23 September 2004 (EUROPE 8800). It lays down fishing possibilities for 40 seiners and 12 surface longliners in the EU (17 French, 22 Spanish and one Italian). The EU will pay EUR 4.12 million a year in return....
