The Agnelli family has invested EURO 576 million for acquiring 8% of FIAT and therefore avoided having its control watered down by credit banks. The IFIL company that it controls, had acquired 82.2 million of FIAT shares, which will enable the Agnellis to remain the main shareholder in the group with 30.06% of the capital, faced with the 26.7% of the capital being owned by credit banks.
