British group OLD MUTUAL has offered EUR 4.8 bn for taking over the Swedish SKANDIA company. If the latter refuses (the deadline has been set for Friday), OLD MUTUAL still sticks, it announced. Up until now, the British group has had the support of 30% of shareholders.
