France and United Kingdom Launch IFFim to be partially financed by tax levied on air fares

Manchester, 09/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, France and the United Kingdom announced a tax on air fares in order to raise the additional funding needed for development aid, thus helping to reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). Further to the Eurostat analysis specifying the way payments to IFFim (International Financing Facility for immunisation) will be recorded in public accounts (EUROPE 9004), both countries decided to implement the initiative which must represent $4billion...
