NEWS CORPORATION, Rupert Murdoch's company, has announced it is buying up IGN ENTERTAINMENT (2004 turnover of USD 43 mil), an online games and sports site, for USD 650 mil. This is News Corporation's third internet acquisition in two months. US media reports that the online auction site EBAY is planning to buy SKYPE internet telephone company (more than 160 mil users, annual turnover of between USD 62 and 87 mil) for between USD 3 and 5 bn.
