EPP accepts Turkish AKP and 'Our Ukraine' as observers and adopts new logo

Brussels, 28/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European People's Party, a very varied range of political groups on the centre and conservative right in Europe, decided in Brussels on 28 January to accept the membership requests from the Turkish prime minister Recep Tayip Erdogan's party, the ADP, and the 'Our Ukraine' movement of the new President of Ukraine, Victor Yushchenko. Both parties were awarded observer status by the EPP's Political Bureau on Friday.
