EU earmarks EUR 480 million for cross border cooperation in the new Member States

Brussels, 28/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - Elisabeth Helander, Director at DG Regional Policy at the European Commission, said that the nine new cross-border and neighbourhood programmes between regions in the ten new Member States launched in Warsaw on Thursday by Danuta Hubner (see Europe on 27 January, p.15) bear witness to excellent cooperation with the Member States.
