GDP in Euro zone euro and EU 25 rises by 0.3%

Brussels, 12/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - In the third quarter of 2004, GDP in the euro zone euro and EU 25 rose by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter when rises were also quite similar (+0.5%). Compared to the third quarter of 2003, rises were between 1.8% and 2.1%. respectively. Among the 19 countries for whom data is available, the sharpest rises were recorded in Estonia (+1.9%), Greece (+1,.%) and Lithuania (+1.5%). GDP fell in Portugal (-1.2%) and Ireland (-0.3%).
