Brussels, 03/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Although Latvia has rapidly replaced its designated-Commissioner Ingrida Udre at the request of José Manuel Barroso (EUROPE yesterday p 8), Hungary and the Netherlands want to keep their opposed Commissioner-designates. Therefore, in a General Affairs fringe meeting on Tuesday, the Dutch foreign affairs minister Bernard Bot confirmed that the Netherlands would "provide unconditional support" to Neelie Kroes and it is certain that she will be confirmed...
