EU calls for dialogue and more independence of institutions

Brussels, 03/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 1 November, the Dutch EU Presidency issued the following declaration on behalf of the European Union on the political situation in Nicaragua:

"The European Union has followed closely recent political developments in Nicaragua, including the visit of the OAS delegation and the resolution of the Heads of the Central American States.
