03/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Council of the EU held a short exchange of views on developments in Somalia since President Abdullah Yusuf was elected on 10 October, and pending the formation of a transition government. Discussions were held on the basis of speeches by Javier Solana and the Italian and Swedish delegations. The Member States reiterated their support for the peace process in the country, especially in their support for initiatives by the African Union.
