Brussels, 03/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the EU Council, evoked at Poland's request the irregularities noted during parliamentary elections and the referendum of 17 October in Belarus, as well as attacks against the opposition leaders and media representatives during a political demonstration in Minsk, on 19 October. (See EUROPE of 20 October, p.6). The Council will hold a detailed discussion on developments in Belarus during its meeting of 22 November this year.
