Commissioner Lamy's optimism

Brussels, 23/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - During a debate on the future of Europe organised on Tuesday by the Weekly "Economist", the European Commissioner for trade Pascal Lamy rejected any alarmist scenario of the European Union dissolving. He said that there were too many things that linked them today, adding that he thought that the best was yet to come despite the serious problems Europe has to confront.
