23/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - In collaboration with the European Federation of Chartered Accountants (FEE), the European Commission is organising on 27 September in Brussels a conference on "Accounting in the Public Sector - Progress and Accomplishments". Commissioner Michaele Schreyer will be examining modernisation of the Commission's accounting system, the objective of which is to implement a workable accounting system for the 2005 Community budget.
