Neelie Kroes to publish rules she intends to apply in case of conflict of interest between function of Commissioner and former private mandates

Brussels, 16/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Aware of the likelihood of conflicting interest between the mandates that she held as a member of the board for several large companies and the function of future Competition Commissioner in the Barroso Commission, Neelie Kroes of the Netherlands has pre-empted the situation arising upon her designation, calling for an opinion on the question from the Commission's legal services.
