16/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance, under the Merger Regulation, to a proposed deal whereby private equity investment fund Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Fund VI Limited Partnership (CD&R, USA) acquires control of the whole of the undertaking Culligan Corporation (USA) by way of purchase of shares. Culligan provides water treatment products and related services. The operation was examined under the simplified procedure.
