On Thursday morning, the European Parliament held a very lively debate on the "Women on Waves" vessel which provides access to the abortion pill and which was refused entry to Portuguese ports, being kept at a distance by warships. EUROPE will come back to this debate which was marked by virulent attacks on the part of right-wing MEPs, mainly Polish, against the legalisation of abortion, described by some as "genocide".
