Commission planning on revision of timetable and budget for Chernobyl shelter repairs

Brussels, 19/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - Last week the European Commission adopted its third progress report on the funds for making the damaged nuclear installations in Chernobyl safe. In May 1997 a group of international experts from the EU, USA and Japan finalised a multidisciplinary construction management programme designated as the Shelter Implementation Plan (SIP).
