19.07.2004 (Agence Europe) - French Minister for European Affairs Claudie Haigneré has promised that political and administrative circles will rally round considerably so that France makes up time lost in transposition of Community directives. In the latest scoreboard, France ranked 17th out of 25 as far as the transposition rate is concerned. In November 2002, Ms Haigneré's predecessor, Noëlle Lenoir, had fixed a timetable allowing for French ministers to catch up with the others.
