Brussels, 19/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the European Commission decided to pursue proceedings begun against Edith Cresson, who is suspected of having committed acts of nepotism when she was a Commissioner between 1995-99. For the first time in its history, the Commission has decided to go to the Court of Justice to request that it to assess whether charges against Ms Cresson deserve punishment.
